Year 8 Bikeability 2025

Our Year 8 Level 3 Bikeability course for 2025 begins on Monday the 12th May. The first group is 8XC and we have everything crossed that the glorious weather continues till then!

Pupils are asked to arrive in suitable cycling clothing for the weather (rain or shine), including gloves. If it is raining, please bring a change of clothing. A water bottle and snack are also strongly advised. Bikes and helmets will be provided, if needed.

The course is made up of a two-hour ride and two-hour map reading lesson. All pupils will take Period 5 as normal.

The provisional dates and groups are as follows:

• Monday 12th - 8XC​ 

• Tuesday 13th - 8XL

• Wednesday 14th - 8XW​

• Thursday 15th - 8YD​

• Friday 16th - 8YE​ (please bring a packed lunch)

• Monday 19th - 8YS​

• Tuesday 20th - 8YY

We are very proud to have established Bikeability within our school. Every pupil up to the Upper Sixth has had the opportunity to take part. Sporting NRG, our delivery partners, have been able to meet the need of every child, from the non-rider to nervous rider and those with dyspraxic or other physical conditions, we are as inclusive as possible.
