Most students study four subjects in the Lower Sixth (Year 12) and continue with three of these in the Upper Sixth (Year 13).
Teaching groups at St Christopher's are small and a range of teaching styles adopted, partly to prepare students for the less structured teaching approach they will meet at university. Sixth formers are encouraged to acquire the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to make well-informed choices about their future.
Our aim is to challenge each student, helping them to fulfil their potential and appreciate the satisfaction gained from academic study.
Sixth form students are encouraged to take responsibility for their own learning and develop independent thought and self-discipline.
All A-level courses will require a minimum of 4 GCSE Grades 5, plus at least a Grade 4 in English Language and Mathematics.
