Teacher of Girls' Physical Education

Maternity Cover

MPR/UPS (£32,916 to £51,048)

An outstanding opportunity to teach in a flourishing and forward thinking 11-18 single academy where the wellbeing of staff is a priority.

Required for June 2026 for this heavily over-subscribed and successful Church of England Academy, an enthusiastic, able and ambitious teacher is sought to teach Girls’ Physical Education throughout key stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of some PE Enrichment teaching in the sixth form. This post is equally suited to an experienced practitioner or to a new entrant to the teaching profession and becomes available to cover the maternity leave of the current post holder.

The successful candidate will join a thriving, creative and supportive team. We seek to appoint a teacher who is passionate about PE and Sports, someone who is able to set challenging work across the age and ability range as well as being willing to contribute to the extensive extra-curricular offer already in place.

The PE Department is well regarded and plays a significant role in the wider life of the school. Teachers thrive in an environment which balances support and structure with autonomy and independence.

The school of 1000 pupils and the Sixth Form of 300 students are attractively and conveniently situated close to the Ribble Valley. There are excellent motorway connections via M65 to M6 and M62.
