An outstanding opportunity to teach in a flourishing and forward thinking 11-18 single academy where the wellbeing of staff is a priority.
Required for September 2026 for this heavily over-subscribed and successful Church of England Academy, an enthusiastic, able and ambitious teacher is sought to teach Music throughout key stages 3 and 4, contribute to the school’s extra-curricular programme, together with the opportunity to deliver A-level for a candidate with the necessary experience and academic qualifications. This post is equally suited to an experienced practitioner or to a new entrant to the teaching profession.
The successful candidate will join a thriving and supportive department which enjoys a national reputation for the quality of its work. Large numbers of pupils receive music tuition, and the department oversees a number of choirs, ensembles and bands. The Music Department is well established and integral to the overall success of the school. Rates of pupil progress and attainment are consistently strong at both GCSE and A-level. Teachers thrive in an environment which balances support and structure with autonomy and independence.
The school of 1000 pupils and the Sixth Form of 300 students are attractively and conveniently situated close to the Ribble Valley. There are excellent motorway connections via M65 to M6 and M62.
