Computing

Computing Club: Open to beginners or pro’s who are interested in furthering their understanding of programming and/or PC tools to help with their school life. See Mr Howe for details.

D & T

Graphics Support: A chance for Year 10 and 11 to catch-up on their GCSE coursework. The after school activity finishes at 5pm. See Mrs Parker for details.

Craft Club: Quiet time to make new friends, make crafts or mindfulness colouring. See Mrs Kay for details.

Duke of Edinburgh Award

The Duke of Edinburgh Award is a personal programme of activities for young people aged 14 – 24. The programme involves four sections, Volunteering, Physical, Skill, Expedition (and for Gold, a Residential) which when completed lead to three levels of qualification, Bronze, Silver and Gold. Quiet Reading Club: A chance to relax and catch up on a favourite novel or course text.

Learning Support

Dance Club: Covering a variety of exciting dance styles and choreographing routines. See Mrs Jukes for details.

MFL (Modern Foreign Languages)

Music Group: This group is aimed to nurture and enhance the musical skills of students who missed out on practical work last academic session and to further develop their key skills in a hop to encourage and build confidence for the GCSE music course. See Mrs Fallows for details.

Wind Band: Mainly aimed at KS3 and 4 wind players. It is a group for building confidence at playing in a small, friendly ensemble. See Mrs Fallows for details.

PE

Extra-Curricular sport and physical activity is a fantastic opportunity for all pupils to engage in a fully inclusive programme that caters for all ability levels. We offer a broad and balanced timetable that differs each half term to give our pupils new experiences in a variety of sports and activities. There are further opportunities for pupils to represent our school against other schools in the district, county, and the nation.

Judo & Kung Fu: Pupils from all year groups enjoy the hugely rewarding Olympic sport of judo every Friday after school in the Studio (2:15-3:45pm). See Mr Pountain for more details.

RE

Christian Union: Fun, games and activities, as well as a serious God-centred bit suitable for all pupils, ranging from those who are ‘just looking’ at the Christian faith, to those who are serious about going deeper in their relationship with God. Contact Mr Pountain for more details.

Connect: This is a very well attended after-school club for pupils from all year groups who want to go deeper in their Christian faith or want to know more. Contact Mr Pountain for more details.

Youth Church: This is a new group and will be available every first and third Thursdays of each month. See Mr Pountain for more detail.

Science

Eco Group: Enables pupils to connect with each other and the planet by learning about sustainability principles which effect the school, the home and any future employment. This is about you sustaining your own future. The Eco Group is open for all ages and the Eco Council meet half termly. Healthy lifestyle, healthy planet. See Mrs Litherland for details.
