Please find all the information below in chronological order for the stepping up process:

• Our Stepping up information evening presentation which is delivered to parents and guardians in September to help prepare your pupil for their transition to GSCE;
• A Study skills pdf which is delivered on Thursday during form time;
• Further down the page there will be information for our 'Stepping Up Day' which is early in June. More to come on this!

Form Time Study Skills

The following link provides you with the content which we will be delivering during Form Time every Thursday morning over the upcoming academic year: Year 10 Study Skills. Please discuss the 'Study Skill' with your pupil and if you are able to help them practice it - even better!

Here is when each skill should be delivered (unless there is an unforeseen circumstance):

• 19^th - 27^th September = Nine box grid activity
• 3^rd - 10^th October = Mnemonics
• 17^th - 31^st October = English
• 7^th - 14^th November = Student on trial
• 21^st - 28^th November = Index cards
• 5^th - 12^th December = Summarise
• 19^th December - 9^th January = Mind Mapping
• 16^th - 23^rd January = Knowledge sharing
• 30^th January - 27^th February = Religious education
• 6^th - 13^th March = Key words
• 20^th - 27^th March = Quiz time - Biology
• 3^rd April - 24^th April = Quiz time - Chemistry
• 1^st May - 8^th May = Quiz time - Physics
• 15^th - 22^nd May = Learning points
• 12^th - 19^th June = Learning points
• 26^th - 3^rd July = Mathematics
• 10^th July - 17^th July = Question?
