Year 10 Pupils Showcase their Business Idea
09/05/2023

Although they didn't win this year, representatives from our Year 10 Young Enterprise team did us proud at the Young Enterprise Lancashire Showcase Event at UCLan in Preston last week.

Party-in-a-box was the idea developed by the pupils back in October. The product is designed to provide parents of young children with everything they need to give their loved one a birthday party to remember. The students named their company 'BoxdOff' and designed a brightly-coloured box packed with ideas for party games, as well as all the equipment and materials needed, and instructions how to play.

During the event, the students set up their trade stand to display their product, which generated a lot of interest from the other partaking schools and colleges. They were interviewed by a panel of judges who interrogated them about their product idea, how sales had gone so far and what future plans they had for their business.

Before the judges made their decision and awarded the winners, the team presented their business idea in front of around 200 people. Sadly, no prize this year, but it was a fantastic experience for the students and the feedback they received has inspired them to continue the business and hopefully make BoxdOff a success!
