Full-time Teacher of Geography Vacancy

Full-time Teacher of Geography

MPR/UPS

£31,650 - £49,084

An outstanding opportunity to teach in a flourishing and forward thinking 11-18 single academy where the wellbeing of staff is a priority.

Required for January 2026 for this heavily over-subscribed and successful Church of England Academy, an enthusiastic, able and ambitious teacher is sought to teach Geography throughout key stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to deliver A-level for a candidate with the necessary experience and academic qualifications. This post is equally suited to an experienced practitioner or to a new entrant to the teaching profession.

The successful candidate will join a thriving and supportive team and work under the direction of a newly appointed Head of Department. The Geography Department consistently produces high rates of pupil progress and attainment which place it amongst the school’s strongest subjects. Teachers thrive in an environment which balances support and structure with autonomy and independence. The number of students opting to study Geography at GCSE is consistently high and this means that recruitment into A-Level is also strong.

The school of 1000 pupils and the Sixth Form of 300 students are attractively and conveniently situated close to the Ribble Valley. There are excellent motorway connections via M65 to M6 and M62.
