Slopes and Memories: A Ski Trip to Remember
21/02/2024

Year 11 Ski Trip 2024

Over the February half-term (10th-17th February), six members of staff and 43 Year 11 pupils took to the ski slopes of Pal Arinsal in Andorra.

After an eventful (and long) journey by coach the happy travellers arrived at the hotel eager to get started, but would have to wait for the following day to get a feel for the resort and hotel.

The week was jam packed with activities, and of course the pupils were more excited for the ski lessons, where they made huge progress each day. They took the opportunity to see some of the highest points of the mountain and try different pistes (if they felt up to it). At the end of the week, their instructor presented them with an award for their efforts. Weather conditions were fantastic, there was plenty of snow, and sunshine every day.

It was an exciting week, with a variety of other activities taking place in the evening including bowling, pizza night, visits to the stunning town of Courmayeur and much more. Mrs Stott who organised this fantastic trip said;

“Every pupil displayed hard work and determination throughout the week. Most pupils  were complete beginners, and it was such a pleasure to see them progress so quickly and ski so much of the mountain. The standards of behaviour exhibited by our pupils was exceptional, they were such a pleasant and polite group. Well done to all involved!”

Pupils’ had a week to remember and were a real credit to their parents!
