Celebrating the GCSE Results 2022
25/08/2022

At a time of falling grades nationally this has been a day of triumph for St Christopher’s CE High School!

“It has been a delight to witness so many pupils receiving outstanding GCSE results, allowing them to move forward with confidence to the next stage in their education. St Christopher’s has much to be proud of. From the many students who have exceeded their target grades, to those securing a place in the school’s sixth form, we pass on our congratulations and best wishes.

Our pupils deserve praise and acclaim. They are a wonderful group of young people who have had to navigate their way through two years of unprecedented disruption. Robbed of much of the first year of GCSE study, the class of 2022 have had to prove their emotional resilience and determination alongside academic achievement. It is now time for them to celebrate and to look forward with confidence.

Our teachers too merit a special mention and I thank them for the highly professional manner in which they have managed the challenge of educating young people during the COVID pandemic.
We are passionate about raising levels of aspiration and encouraging pupils to aim high and these results confirm that we continue to do a great job.

“I got five 9s and five 8s, which is fantastic, especially after the last couple of years due to Covid. My plan is to study A Levels at St Christopher’s Sixth Form and eventually on to university. I’d like to thank my teachers for all their help and can’t wait to start on the next exciting journey.”

“Employing my determination and hard work over these past two years has culminated in a set of results I am certainly pleased to have achieved. I can now continue to progress further with my studies at A Level.”
