Are you an experienced receptionist looking for a fresh start? Are you passionate about education? If so, we would love to hear from you!
St Christopher’s CE High School is looking to appoint a Receptionist (and Admin support) officer to join our dynamic team. We are looking for an individual who has excellent communication skills, a confident and polite approach to customers and a pro-active, ‘can-do’ attitude. The post holder will be primarily based on our main reception desk and be the first point of contact for all stakeholders.
Although not essential, the ideal candidate would have experience in a similar role and/or hold a first aid qualification or a desire to acquire one.
The school of 1000 pupils, plus a Sixth Form of 300 students, is attractively and conveniently situated close to the Ribble Valley and has excellent motorway connections via the M65 to the M6 and M62.
If you would like to take advantage of this opportunity and you feel you have something special to contribute to St. Christopher’s, then we eagerly anticipate your application.
The non-teaching application form should be completed electronically and emailed to head@st-christophers.org, marked for the attention of Mrs Walsh. It should be accompanied with a supporting letter of not more than two sides of A4 paper, in 11 point font, explaining your suitability for the post, including reference to your skills, experience and a flavour of your vision for working at St Christopher’s.
The closing date for applications is Monday 5th June 2023 (9am) and interviews are planned for later that week.
St Christopher’s is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
All successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure.
St Christopher’s CE High School is an equal opportunities employer.
* We are looking to recruit a full-time receptionist to cover our busy main school reception. However, we would also consider appointing two successful candidates on a job share (Morning/Afternoon) basis. This would entail working between 16 and 21 hours per week and the salary would be pro-rata accordingly.
Therefore, when submitting your application on the supporting covering letter/email please can you specify if you are applying for, the full-time (37 hours) role, in a job-sharing/part time role or both, and where applicable your preference.
