Young Enterprise Scheme
Links with industry and an awareness of commercial practices are fostered through Year 11's participation in the national Young Enterprise Scheme. Each year, a group of pupils from St Christopher's forms a company to design, make and market a product.
They then complete against other schools and St Christopher's has been a regular winner at local and regional level. A presentation in French forms part of this competition, reinforcing and developing language work done in class and putting principles into practice. Last year, the company won the East Lancashire Area Board Chairman's Award.
Strong links have been formed between the School and local companies who provide advisers to our Young Enterprise Company on a purely voluntary basis.
