The Governors are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed teacher of girls PE. The successful applicant will also be expected to teach some KS3 general science. This temporary position becomes available due to the present post holder taking maternity leave.  The contract will commence from September 2017 and will last for the duration of the autumn term.  

St Christopher's is a heavily over-subscribed, flourishing and successful 11 - 18 Church of England Academy, an award-winning "Outstanding School" (SIAMS 2016). This year, 75% of Year 11 pupils gained at least 5 GCSE grades A*-C including English and mathematics, and 81% of A-level students gained grades A* - C.

The PE department is very successful and makes a significant contribution to the life of the whole school. The whole team are dedicated to delivering lessons and providing extra-curricular opportunities of the highest standard. Pupils make good progress and a significant number choose to study the subject at GCSE and A-level.

The school of 1000 pupils, plus a Sixth Form of 300 pupils, is attractively and conveniently situated close to the Ribble Valley and has excellent motorway connections via M65 to M6 and M62.
